2003 saw the thirteenth consecutive Young Talents design award and the third Young Talents exhibit. The award is a co-effort between The Association of Norwegian Industrial Designers (NID) and The Norwegian Design Counsel. The ecological design category is managed by GRIP.
The award gives young designers the possibility to showcase their best work. The competition is directed towards Norwegians studying industrial design: product- and transport design, furniture design and structural packaging design and fashion design in Norway and abroad.
The concept behind the poster is portraying young talented designers from a new angle. It’s about a unique opportunity for new young designers to promote themselves. The front page portrays a young designer, visualised through technical structuring meant to illustrate the point that everything can be constructed visually and at the same time a new style through industrial design. Its purpose is to obtain attention and ‘stop-effect’ even when viewed from afar.
