Bleed gave the Øya Festival 2003 a makeover to distinct it from previous years identity. Keeping its logotype intact the makeover used means of typography and illustration. The illustrations are vibrant and colourful elements inspired by 1930’s poster art with a touch of cartoon styling contrasting a neutral, but dark background. The identity boasts two illustrations, one to identify the club events in connection to the festival; the other identifies the main event. Monumental typography complements the illustrations and puts focus on the main attractions. The posters are the pillars of the festival identity.
